In 1970, Richard Ireland founded Valley Forge Investment Corporation with his partner Brian McElwee.  Then, as now, it was the founders' intention to provide solid and consistent returns to its investors and to establish VFIC as an exemplary business with uncompromising standards and ethics.

Mr. Ireland, Chairman and Founder of Valley Forge Investment Corporation, is one of the founding members of Valley Forge Hotel Management.  Mr. Ireland founded Valley Forge Investment Corporation in 1970 and leads the company's investments in the non-real estate sectors.  Prior to founding VFIC, Mr. Ireland built a successful career in sales during his tenure with both Johnson and Johnson and Merrill Lynch.  Mr. Ireland is a graduate of LaSalle University having received his Bachelor of Arts degree.

Brian G. McElwee, Founding Member

Mr. McElwee, President of Valley Forge Investment Corporation, is one of founding members of Valley Forge Hotel Management.  Mr. McElwee has been with Valley Forge Investment Corporation since 1972 and leads the company's real estate business including its investments in 20 shopping centers and 8 hotels during his tenure.  He is a graduate of Drexel University having received both a Bachelor of Science and Masters of Business Administration in 1972. Mr. McElweee currently serves on the Board of Trustees of Immaculata University and is a member of the Board of Directors of ACHIEVEability.  Brian also serves as the President of Business Leadership Organized for Catholic Schools (BLOCS).
